# Intercom Fin alternatives.

Five Intercom Fin alternatives worth comparing in 2026 are Dazza, Zendesk AI agents, Freshdesk Freddy AI Agent, Crisp Hugo and Tidio Lyro. Each is compared below on who it suits, how it charges, from the vendor’s own pricing page, and what 1,000 AI conversations a month cost.

- **5**: Options, Dazza first
- **$739**: Intercom, 1,000 conversations
- **$124**: Dazza, the same month
- **27 Oct 2026**: Prices checked

## Five options, side by side.

Most teams look for an Intercom Fin alternative because of how it charges: $29 to $132 for every seat, plus $0.99 for every Fin outcome, so the bill grows with both the team and the AI’s success. For five people and 1,000 AI conversations a month, Intercom Essential with Fin is $739 billed yearly.

| Option | Best for | How it charges | 1,000 conversations a month |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Dazza | Businesses of any size that want an AI customer service agent with unlimited seats and a fixed price per conversation. | Per conversation | **$124**, billed yearly |
| Zendesk AI agents | Large support teams already on Zendesk, or that need voice and many languages. | Per agent and per resolution | **$1,138**, billed yearly |
| Freshdesk Freddy AI Agent | Teams that want a low-cost ticketing helpdesk with ready-made commerce actions. | Per agent and per session | **$585**, billed yearly |
| Crisp Hugo | Small teams that want a low AI cost per conversation and data hosted in the EU. | Per workspace and per token | **$120–$170**, billed monthly |
| Tidio Lyro | Small online shops starting out, especially on Shopify. | Per plan and per AI conversation | **$549+**, as shown, yearly |

Five people on the team and 60% of AI conversations resolved without a person, on each vendor’s cheapest plan that fits, in US dollars. The [cost guide](https://dazza.io/guides/ai-customer-service-cost#table) shows the arithmetic and lets you change the numbers.

## Strengths and limits.

Dazza is ours, so it’s first. Every other entry says plainly what it does better.

### Dazza (ours)

**Best for:** Businesses of any size that want an AI customer service agent with unlimited seats and a fixed price per conversation.

**How it charges:** Per conversation: $49, $149 or $449 a month for 300, 1,500 or 6,000 conversations (£39, £119 or £349), with unlimited seats. Source: [Dazza pricing](https://dazza.io/pricing).

Against Fin: no seat fees and no outcome fees. The same month is $124 instead of $739.

#### Strengths

- No seat fees and no per-resolution fees. A conversation counts once, however long it runs.
- Your rules are checked in code: decisions, customer confirmation, team approval and verified customers before any workflow or tool runs.
- Live from your web address in an afternoon, with saved tests and simulated customers comparing the draft with the live agent.

#### Limits

- “Powered by Dazza” can’t be removed, and phone calls need your own Twilio account.
- Every conversation Dazza replies to counts, resolved or handed over.
- Newer than the rest: several agents per workspace are still being built.

### Zendesk AI agents

**Best for:** Large support teams already on Zendesk, or that need voice and many languages.

**How it charges:** Per agent, $55 to $115 a month billed yearly, plus $1.50 to $2.00 per automated resolution after 5 or 10 an agent. Against Fin: the same seats-plus-resolutions model, at $1.50 to $2.00 a resolution instead of $0.99.

#### Strengths

- AI agents included in every Suite plan.
- Only verified resolutions are billed; escalations are free.
- Voice, email and messaging in 80 languages, by Zendesk’s account.

#### Limits

- The highest price per resolved conversation here.
- Copilot is $50 an agent a month, from Professional.
- A lot of platform for a small business.

### Freshdesk Freddy AI Agent

**Best for:** Teams that want a low-cost ticketing helpdesk with ready-made commerce actions.

- Shopify, Stripe, PayPal and FedEx actions, and 50+ ready-made workflows.
- Email, web chat, WhatsApp and social in 60+ languages.

#### Limits

- The 500 free sessions are once only.
- Sessions come in packs of 100 that end with the billing cycle.

### Crisp Hugo

**Best for:** Small teams that want a low AI cost per conversation and data hosted in the EU.

**How it charges:** Per workspace, $0 to $295 a month with $5 to $75 of AI credits; Hugo uses tokens, about $0.05 to $0.10 a conversation. Source: [Crisp pricing](https://crisp.chat/en/pricing/), [Crisp help: Hugo pricing and billing](https://help.crisp.chat/en/article/hugo-pricing-billing-explained-h78hkv/).

Against Fin: seats come with the workspace and the AI is billed on tokens, usually far less per conversation.

#### Strengths

- Often the lowest AI cost per conversation here, by Crisp’s own estimate.
- Data hosted on European servers.
- Seats included per workspace, and a help centre on Essentials.

#### Limits

- Token-based cost moves with conversation length and knowledge size.
- Hugo stops when credits run out, unless pay as you go is on.
- WhatsApp, Instagram and SMS from Essentials; white labelling only on Plus.

### Tidio Lyro

**Best for:** Small online shops starting out, especially on Shopify.

Against Fin: a much lower start, but Lyro’s prices above 50 conversations aren’t shown.

#### Strengths

- A free plan, and Lyro’s first 50 conversations free.
- Live chat, email, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp on every plan.
- Native Shopify actions on Growth.

#### Limits

- No Lyro price shown above 50 conversations, and custom above 1,000.
- Conversations with your team are metered separately from Lyro.
- Up to 10 seats below Plus; branding removal is an add-on.

## How to choose.

Four questions that decide most of the bill, and most of the fit.

### Count your seats

If many people work the inbox, per-seat pricing dominates. Dazza includes unlimited seats and Crisp includes them per workspace; Intercom, Zendesk and Freshdesk charge for each person.

### Estimate your resolution rate

Per-resolution pricing costs more as the AI gets better. At 60% resolved, Fin works out at $0.59 per AI conversation and Zendesk at $0.90, before seats.

### Check what the AI can do

Answering questions is the start. Ask how each one completes jobs, checks your rules and verifies the customer before it touches an account.

### Read the limits

Look for minimums, one-time allowances, credits that run out, member caps and branding you can’t remove. The cost guide lists them.

## Intercom Fin alternatives, answered.

See the [cost guide](https://dazza.io/guides/ai-customer-service-cost) for other volumes, and [Dazza pricing](https://dazza.io/pricing) for every plan.

### What is the cheapest Intercom Fin alternative?

On published prices for five people and 1,000 AI conversations a month, Crisp Hugo (about $120–$170, billed monthly) and Dazza ($124 billed yearly, $149 monthly) cost least. Intercom Essential with Fin is $739 for the same month.

### Is there an Intercom Fin alternative without seat fees?

Dazza includes unlimited seats on every plan, and Crisp includes 2 to 20 seats per workspace by plan. Fin itself has no seat costs when used with another helpdesk, from 50 outcomes a month.

### Can I move my Intercom help centre to Dazza?

Yes. Paste its address in Knowledge, under Help centre, and Dazza imports the articles through the sitemap, adding new ones on each check.

### Which alternative works inside Zendesk or Salesforce?

Of these, only Fin itself: Intercom sells Fin for other helpdesks at $0.99 an outcome. Dazza, Crisp and Tidio run their own inbox.
