# One line of code. Every page covered.

Dazza is an AI chatbot for your website. Paste one line before the end of your page and it appears across your site, in your colours, answering in whatever language your customers write in. No plugin, no rebuild.

- **1 line**: Of code to install
- **Any**: Language your customers write in
- **Yours**: Name, colours and welcome
- **On open**: The chat loads only when needed

## Live before your coffee cools.

Works anywhere you can add a script: WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, Webflow, Wix or your own code.

### Copy the line

It’s in Settings, under Install, with your agent’s key already in it.

### Paste it in

Add it before the closing `</body>` tag, or your platform’s custom code box.

### Publish your agent

The chat button appears as soon as there’s a live version.

### Check it’s working

Settings shows the site it was last seen on, and when.

```
<script src="https://app.dazza.io/widget.js" data-agent="dz_…" async></script>
```

```
<!-- Optional -->
data-position="left"        <!-- left of the screen -->
data-label="Chat with us"   <!-- text on the button -->
data-open="true"            <!-- open on page load -->
// From your own buttons
Dazza.open();
Dazza.close();
```

## Already signed in. Already trusted.

If customers sign in to your site, your server can vouch for them with a signed token. Dazza treats them as verified, so workflows about their own account run without an email code.

- Signed with your secret (HS256), on your server
- Valid for up to 30 days, your choice
- Works with single-page apps

```
// On your server, for the signed-in customer
const token = jwt.sign(
  {
    email: user.email,
    name: user.name,
    sub: user.id,
    attributes: { plan: user.plan }, // optional
  },
  process.env.DAZZA_SECRET,
  { algorithm: "HS256", expiresIn: "12h" }
);
// In the page
Dazza.identify(token);  // after sign-in
Dazza.identify(null);   // after sign-out
```

## Small on the page. Big on the details.

### A hosted chat page

A link to your agent you can share anywhere, no website needed.

### Allowed websites

List your domains and the chat won’t run anywhere else.

### Suggested questions

Up to three, to get visitors going before they type.

### A person, any time

A “Talk to a person” button is always there, under every chat.

### Email codes, inline

When a workflow needs a verified customer, the code is asked for in the chat.

### Photos and PDFs

Customers attach, paste or drop up to 3 files a message. Dazza looks at them before it answers.

### Nudges on chosen pages

A short message above the chat button, after the wait you set. A click opens the chat from it.

### Thumbs on every reply

Customers can say whether an answer helped.

### A rating at the end

Good, Okay or Poor when the chat ends, with an optional comment for your team.

### Remembers the chat

Visitors pick up where they left off on the same browser.

### Made for phones

Full screen on small screens, with large tap targets.

### Powered by Dazza

A small link under the chat, on every plan.

## Same Dazza. More places to say hello.

Same knowledge, same rules, same inbox. See [messaging](https://dazza.io/channels/messaging) and [mobile apps](https://dazza.io/channels/mobile-apps).

### WhatsApp

Answers and workflows in the app your customers already use.

### Instagram and Messenger

Questions from your social pages, answered properly.

### SMS, Telegram, LINE and Viber

For the customers who’d rather text or use another app.

### Your mobile app

iOS, Android, React Native and Flutter, with signed-in customers recognised.

## Web chat, explained.

Step by step in the [help centre](https://dazza.io/help/install-chat).

### Will it slow my site down?

No. The script loads after your page, and the chat itself only loads when someone opens it.

### Can I open the chat from my own button?

Yes. Call `Dazza.open()` from any button or link, and `Dazza.close()` to close it.

### Can the chat start the conversation?

Yes, with nudges (proactive messages). In Agent → Nudges, write a short message, choose the pages it shows on and how long to wait, and Dazza shows it above the chat button. Clicking it opens the chat with your message as Dazza’s first line. See [Nudges on your website](https://dazza.io/help/nudges).

### Can customers send screenshots and photos?

Yes. Photos (JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF) and PDFs, up to 3 a message and 4 MB each. Dazza looks at them before it answers, and your team sees them in the inbox. See [Photos and PDFs from customers](https://dazza.io/help/photos-and-files).

### Can I put it on the left?

Yes. Add `data-position="left"` to the script tag. You can also set the button’s label.

### Does it work without a website?

Yes. Every agent has a hosted chat page with its own link, ready to share in emails, bios and QR codes.

### Can I remove “Powered by Dazza”?

No. The small link appears under the chat on every plan.
