# Reply from your own address

Add a few DNS records so Dazza’s replies come from your support address, threaded under the customer’s email.

Until you set this up, replies come from your Dazza address. With it, they come from your own, for example `support@hollis.co`.

## Add your address

In **Settings → Email**, enter the address replies should come from. It has to be on your own domain: Gmail, Outlook and similar mailbox addresses can’t be used.

Dazza then shows a short list of DNS records.

## Add the records

Copy each record into your domain’s DNS settings, wherever you bought the domain or manage DNS. There are three kinds:

- **DKIM**, a TXT record that signs your replies.
- **SPF**, a TXT and an MX record on a sending subdomain, so mail servers trust the replies.
- **Ownership**, a TXT record named `_dazza` that proves the domain is yours.

DNS changes can take anything from a few minutes to a few hours. Dazza checks for you and marks the address **Verified** when everything is in. You can also press **Check now**.

## While it’s pending

Replies keep coming from your Dazza address, so nothing waits on DNS. If an address stops verifying later, Dazza falls back to your Dazza address and checks again.

## Delivery tracking

Every reply is tracked: delivered, bounced, marked as spam or failed. If a reply doesn’t arrive, the conversation comes back to your team with a note saying why. **Settings → Email** shows a summary of the last 30 days.

## Removing it

Remove the address in **Settings → Email** and replies go back to coming from your Dazza address.
