# Connect Telegram

Create a Telegram bot with @BotFather and paste its token, so Dazza answers private chats as your business.

Dazza answers on Telegram through a bot you create. Customers see your bot’s name, not Dazza. Only admins can connect it.

## What you’ll need

- **Bot token**

## Connect it

1. In Telegram, message @BotFather.
2. Send `/newbot`.
3. Choose a name, then a username ending in “bot”.
4. Copy the token BotFather sends you.
5. In Dazza, open **Channels**, choose Telegram and paste the token.

Dazza checks it with Telegram and sets up the webhook itself.

## Good to know

- Dazza answers private chats only, not groups.
- When someone sends `/start`, they get your agent’s welcome message.
