# Book an appointment template.

The Book an appointment template is a ready-made Dazza workflow for booking appointments from the chat. Dazza shows a “Book now” button to your page, right in the chat. Every detail, check and message can be changed.

- **0**: Details to collect
- **Share a link**: How it finishes
- **Straight away**: No confirm step
- **Every plan**: Starter included

## The questions it answers.

Dazza uses it when the customer wants to book an appointment, session or visit. You can change that sentence, and Dazza follows the new one.

### “Can I book in for Friday?”

### “Have you got anything this week?”

### “How do I make an appointment?”

### “Can I book a consultation?”

## What it asks for. Nothing more.

Dazza asks only for what’s missing, never for what it’s already been told, and checks emails, numbers and dates as it goes. Add, remove or reorder details, up to 10.

None. It shows the button as soon as a customer asks. Add details, such as Name and Email, if you want to fill them into the page’s address with `{{name}}` and `{{email}}`.

## Where the job goes next.

This template uses **Share a link**. Switch to another way to finish, or add decisions that choose between them.

### Send to your team

The request lands in the Team queue of your inbox with every detail, and your team gets an email.

*Switch to it any time*

### Share a link

Dazza shows a button to a page, such as your booking page or a form, with details filled into the address.

*As it comes*

### Call your system

Dazza sends a signed request to your system and answers from the reply. Scale and above.

## The checks, out of the box.

Every check runs in code before the workflow does, so none of them rely on the AI behaving. Change any of them per workflow.

Default checks for the Book an appointment template
| Check | As it comes |
| --- | --- |
| Customer confirms first | Off. It runs as soon as the details are complete. |
| Customer verifies their email first | Off. Turn it on for anything about a customer’s own account (Growth and above). |
| Team approves before it goes ahead | Off. Turn it on to have your team approve or decline each one in the inbox (Growth and above). |
| Starts in | Test, so it only runs in your preview until you set it to Live. |
| Email and messaging apps | Web chat and apps only, because a link is shown as a button. |
| Plan | Every plan. Starter includes 3 workflows. |

## Who it suits. How to adapt it.

The groups are a guide, not a rule. Any business can use any template, renamed to fit.

### Who it suits

- Salons, clinics and therapists
- Tutors, trainers and studios
- Garages, trades and anyone with an online booking page

### Tips for adapting it

1. Paste your booking page in place of the blank address, from whichever booking system you use.
2. Add a Service choice, and decisions that share a different booking page for each service.
3. If your booking page reads details from its address, add Name and Email details and put `{{name}}` and `{{email}}` in it.
4. Put prices, durations and your cancellation policy on your site, so Dazza answers them before sending people to book.

## Book an appointment, answered.

Step by step in [Create a workflow](https://dazza.io/help/workflows).

### Does Dazza see my free slots?

No. Your booking page shows them, so availability is always right. Dazza answers questions and gets the customer there.

### What about changes and cancellations?

Add [Change or cancel a booking](https://dazza.io/templates/change-or-cancel-a-booking), which collects what needs to change for your team to confirm.

### Will it work on WhatsApp?

Not as a workflow: links are shown as a button, and email and messaging apps have no buttons. Add a Q&A with the page’s address to your knowledge and Dazza can give it in a reply there instead.
