Plans and billing
The free trial, what counts as a conversation, going over your allowance, changing plans, failed payments and cancelling.
Every plan includes the whole agent and unlimited team seats. You pay for the conversations Dazza handles. See pricing for plans and prices, and Settings → Plan and billing in Dazza for your own plan, this month’s conversations and your invoices.
The free trial
Every new workspace starts with 14 days and 100 conversations, with everything on Growth: email, messaging apps, connected tools, approvals and verified customers. No card is needed.
- Choose a plan whenever you like. Checkout is on Stripe. Choosing a plan ends the trial and starts the plan that day, and everything you set up stays as it is.
- We remind you. Admins get an email when 80% of the trial’s conversations are used, 3 days before the trial ends, and on the day it ends.
- When the trial ends (after 14 days, or once the 100 conversations are used), Dazza stops answering. Customers’ messages still reach your inbox: web chat shows “The team has been asked to join. They’ll reply here.”, messaging apps get one short message saying the team will reply, and email waits for your team. Your team is told about each one, as for any handover. Nothing is deleted. Choose a plan and Dazza answers new conversations straight away.
- If the 100 conversations run out before the 14 days do, Dazza carries on in the conversations it has already started until the trial’s last day.
What counts
One conversation is one customer thread that Dazza replies to, counted once however long it runs:
- A web chat or app chat Dazza replies to.
- An email thread Dazza replies to, or drafts a reply for your team to send.
- A WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, SMS, Telegram, LINE or Viber thread Dazza replies to.
- A Slack or Teams thread or chat, or a Discord
/ask, Dazza answers.
Every follow-up in that thread is included. A conversation counts in the month Dazza first replies to it.
Always free
- Chats in your preview, and the tests and setup questions Dazza runs.
- Private drafts in Observe mode, which are never sent.
- Threads your team answers without Dazza.
- Spam, auto-replies and bounces Dazza skips.
- Welcome messages, verification codes and alerts to your team.
Your allowance and going over
Your plan includes a number of conversations each month: 300 on Starter, 1,500 on Growth and 6,000 on Scale. The month runs from the day your plan started, and the allowance resets each month. Unused conversations don’t roll over. On yearly billing you pay for the year up front and the allowance is still monthly.
When you go over, Dazza keeps answering. Each extra conversation is charged at your plan’s rate (Starter £0.15, Growth £0.12, Scale £0.09, or the same in dollars or euros) on your next invoice, at the end of the month. Admins get an email at 80% and at 100% of the allowance.
Plan and billing shows this month’s conversations, a projection of your next invoice at your current pace, and, if a bigger plan would cost less for the way you’re using Dazza, says so.
Changing plans
Change plan in Settings → Plan and billing. Only admins can.
- Upgrades start straight away. A new billing month begins that day with the bigger plan’s allowance. You’re charged for the new plan then, less a credit for the unused part of the old one, and any extra conversations so far are billed at the old plan’s rate. If your card needs another step (such as a bank check), the change waits until that invoice is paid.
- Downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period. Until then nothing changes. You can take a booked downgrade back with Keep at any time before it happens. Moving from yearly to monthly billing works the same way.
- Nothing is deleted when you move down. Anything the smaller plan doesn’t include is paused and comes back if you move up again:
- Workflows: Starter runs 3 at a time. Others stay saved and switched on, and the oldest 3 run.
- Web pages: the newest pages over the plan’s limit are paused (shown as “Paused · over plan” in Knowledge) and aren’t used or re-read.
- Channels: messages on email and messaging apps still reach your inbox and your team can reply, but Dazza doesn’t.
- Connections, event webhooks and the API: kept, but Dazza doesn’t use them; the API answers
403 plan_required. - Your own model or Claude Opus: replies come from Dazza’s included Claude Sonnet instead.

Payment, invoices and VAT
You pay by card through Stripe, in pounds, dollars or euros (whichever you choose first stays your billing currency). Prices exclude VAT and sales tax, which are added where they apply. Manage billing opens Stripe’s customer portal, where you can update your card and billing details, add a VAT number and download every invoice.
If a payment fails
We email your admins and show a notice in Dazza. Dazza keeps answering for 7 days while Stripe retries the payment. Update your card or pay the invoice from Plan and billing and nothing else happens.
If it’s still unpaid after 7 days, Dazza pauses in the same calm way as after a trial: customers’ messages reach your inbox and your team can reply, but Dazza doesn’t. As soon as the invoice is paid, Dazza starts again. Nothing is deleted.
Cancelling
Cancel from Plan and billing, on Stripe’s page. There’s no call and no form to fill in beyond an optional reason.
- Your plan runs to the end of the billing period, and extra conversations until then go on the final invoice.
- Until that day you can take the cancellation back with Keep my plan.
- After it, Dazza stops answering and customers’ messages still reach your inbox. Your agent, knowledge, workflows and conversations all stay, and you can choose a plan again at any time.
