Connect WhatsApp
Connect your WhatsApp Business number through Meta’s Cloud API, so Dazza answers on WhatsApp as your business.
Dazza connects to WhatsApp through Meta’s WhatsApp Cloud API, with your own number. Only admins can connect it.
What you’ll need
- Phone number ID
- WhatsApp Business Account ID
- Access token
- App ID
- App secret
Connect it
- In Meta for Developers, open your app with the WhatsApp product added.
- In WhatsApp → API setup, copy the phone number ID and the WhatsApp Business Account ID.
- In Business Settings → System users, create a token with the
whatsapp_business_messagingandwhatsapp_business_managementpermissions. - In App settings → Basic, copy the app ID and app secret.
- In Dazza, open Channels, choose WhatsApp and paste the five details.
Dazza checks them with Meta and sets up the webhook itself.
If it says Waiting for the platform
If Meta won’t let Dazza set the webhook, the connection shows a Callback URL and a Verify token. Paste both into your Meta app under WhatsApp → Configuration → Webhook. The status turns to Connected when Meta confirms.
The 24-hour window
WhatsApp only allows free replies within 24 hours of the customer’s last message. That applies to Dazza and your team alike. After that, the inbox says the window has closed and offers Send a template: a message Meta has approved, with its variables filled in. See WhatsApp templates.
Dazza reads your approved templates with the same access token, which is why it needs whatsapp_business_management too.
