Your help centre
Every workspace gets a public help centre. Write articles with Dazza, publish them, and they answer in search, in the chat and by email.
Every Dazza workspace comes with a public help centre: a searchable home for your answers, in your colours, with the chat on every page. Find it under Help centre in the sidebar.
Its address is app.dazza.io/h/ and your business’s name, for example app.dazza.io/h/oak-linen. You can change it in Settings → Help centre, or put the help centre on your own domain (see below).
Collections and articles
Articles are grouped into collections, such as Delivery, Returns or Your account. Each collection has a name, a short description shown on the help centre, and a place in the order.
- New article opens the editor. Use + New article in … under a collection to start one there.
- Drag an article to put it in order, or into another collection. Drag a collection by its header. ↑ and ↓ do the same without dragging.
- Articles outside any collection show under “More articles”.
Writing an article
The editor has your article in Markdown on the left and a live preview on the right, exactly as visitors will see it. On a phone, switch between Write and Preview.
The toolbar adds headings, bold, lists, links, pictures and callouts. You can also type them:
| Type | You get |
|---|---|
## Section |
A section heading, listed under “On this page” |
**words** |
Bold |
- item or 1. item |
A list (Enter carries it on) |
[text](https://…) |
A link |
> [!TIP] then > text |
A callout: also [!NOTE], [!IMPORTANT], [!WARNING] and [!CAUTION] |
To add a picture, use the picture button, or paste or drop it into the editor (JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF, up to 4 MB). Links to your other articles can start with /articles/, so they work on any address.
Save draft (⌘S or Ctrl+S) keeps your changes without publishing them. Publish makes them live. On a published article, saved changes stay private until you press Publish changes, so you can work on an article while customers keep reading the current one.
Under the editor:
- Search and sharing shows how the article looks in search results. Open More options to change its address, search title and description. Old addresses keep working.
- Version history keeps every save and publish. Restore copies a version into the editor; it’s live only once you publish it.
Let Dazza write with you
Draft with Dazza looks at what customers ask most, the questions Dazza couldn’t answer and searches on your help centre that found nothing, alongside your knowledge. It proposes up to eight articles, each with an outline and why it’s worth writing, such as “Asked in 12 conversations”.
Tick the ones you want and press Write drafts. Dazza drafts each one from your knowledge, in the voice you set for your agent. Where your knowledge doesn’t say something, it adds a To check callout for you to fill in. Drafts are marked “Written by Dazza” and are never published until someone presses Publish.
On any article, three buttons help:
- Improve tidies the structure and wording, keeping every fact.
- Shorten makes it about half as long.
- Fill a gap finds recent customer questions about the article’s subject that it doesn’t answer yet, and adds answers from your knowledge.
Each replaces the text in the editor, with Undo. Nothing is saved until you save or publish.
How it helps Dazza answer
Each published article becomes part of Dazza’s knowledge, as something your business wrote. That means it wins over a web page that says something different. Dazza cites it with its public link, in the chat and by email.
Edit and publish an article, and Dazza uses the new version from the next message. Unpublish or delete it, and Dazza stops using it. Published articles show in Knowledge as “Help article”, with a link back to the editor.
What visitors see
- Home: a big search box, your collections and the most read articles.
- Search: articles appear as people type. On the results page, Ask Dazza gives a short answer from your knowledge with numbered sources, above the articles. If Dazza can’t find an answer, it says so and offers the chat.
- Articles: a table of contents, when it was last updated, related articles and Was this helpful? (with an optional comment after No).
- The chat, on every page, once your agent is published.
The help centre uses your business name, your agent’s brand colour and the first letter of your name as its logo. Change them in Agent.
It’s built for search engines and AI assistants too: every page has a canonical address and sharing tags, articles have structured data (with FAQs when an article has two or more question headings), and there’s a sitemap.xml, a robots.txt and an llms.txt.
Insights
Help centre → Insights shows the last 30 days: article views, how many found articles helpful, searches, and searches that found nothing. Each search that found nothing has Draft it, which asks Dazza to write that article from your knowledge. You’ll also see the most read articles and what readers said when an article didn’t help.
Your own domain
On Growth and above, your help centre can live on your own address, such as help.yourbusiness.com.
- Go to Settings → Help centre and enter the address under Your own domain. Use a subdomain: your main address stays with your website.
- Dazza shows one CNAME record. Add it at your domain provider (where you manage your domain’s DNS). If the provider has a “proxy” or “CDN” switch for the record, turn it off.
- Dazza checks it: Waiting for DNS, then Verifying while the SSL certificate is issued, then Live with SSL. Most records show within an hour. Press Check now to look again.
[!NOTE] If the domain was used with another Vercel account before, you’ll also see a TXT record to add. It proves the domain is yours.
Once it’s live, your Dazza address redirects to your domain, and Dazza cites articles at their new links. Remove switches back to the Dazza address.
